Meri Pehchaan (Jan Parichay): Required for RTPS Bihar Services
Last updated: 26 July 2026
Since March 2026, the Bihar government has made Meri Pehchaan (Jan Parichay) — India's National Single Sign-On (NSSO) — mandatory for accessing RTPS Bihar services. The old direct login no longer works, so this is now a required first step before applying for any RTPS certificate.
Why This Matters
Every service that runs through serviceonline.bihar.gov.in — including caste/income/residence certificates, birth/death certificates, and the character certificate — now requires you to log in via Meri Pehchaan first.
How to Register
- Visit the Meri Pehchaan (Jan Parichay) portal.
- Enter your mobile number and click "Generate OTP."
- Enter the OTP received on your phone.
- Fill in your first name, date of birth, and gender (last name is optional).
After Registering
Once your Meri Pehchaan account is created, use it to log in to serviceonline.bihar.gov.in and any other integrated Bihar government portal — one account works across services.
